February 7, 2024: Microsoft Copilot Enhancements
On , Microsoft announced a major update to Microsoft Copilot. The update introduced a more streamlined look and feel for the Copilot platform, designed to help users bring ideas to life more easily.
One of the standout features is the enhancement in image creation capabilities within Copilot. With the new Designer feature,(rolling out to all soon) users can now customize generated images with blurring backgrounds, and applying different effects like pixel art.

February 8th, 2024: Google Gemini and Its Updates
Google has rebranded its conversational AI agent Bard as Gemini. Along with the rebranding, Google has released a new mobile app for Android called Gemini that also aims to replace Google Assistant on users’ phones.
The app provides access to Gemini Advanced, a more powerful version of Gemini powered by Google’s latest AI model called Ultra 1.0.
Not everyone has access to the gemini-app currently, because of local regulations. (Only US has access currently) But they plan to roll it out as soon as possible.
Gemini Advanced promises enhanced reasoning, instruction following, coding, and creative collaboration capabilities compared to the free Gemini agent.
Google has also introduced a new subscription offering called the Google One AI Premium Plan, priced at $19.99 per month. This plan bundles Gemini Advanced access with 2TB of cloud storage and other Google One benefits.
Subscribers are already able to use Gemini technology within Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Meet, while also giving Gemini access to user data: https://gemini.google.com/extensions
February 9th, 2024: Midjourney Website Version Rollout
Midjourney, the popular AI art generator startup, has launched a website version after gaining significant popularity on Discord.
This makes Midjourney more accessible to newcomers who may not be familiar with Discord. If you have generated over 10k images with Midjourney, you should already have access to the alpa version.
The website allows users to sign up, view sample images, prompt image generation, and manage their account and subscriptions.

Term of the Week: Multimodal Models
Multimodal machine learning models combine multiple modes of data, such as text, images, audio, video, sensory input and more.
They aim to model the real world more accurately by integrating multiple perspectives.
